Roger Parrish
8716 Pine Grove Road #31 Gautier, MS 39553 USA PHONE: 228-522-1951 EMAIL: roger@shrinkagecomp.com
Mr. Parrish is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a degree in Business Management. He has almost thirty years experience in the construction industry, with a major focus on cement and concrete. During the eighties & nineties, he was Special Products Manager-Southern US for Southdown, Inc., and worked almost exclusively with shrinkage-compensating concrete. His expertise in sales and marketing, as well as his “hands-on” construction experience, has enabled him to secure an abundance of SCC projects throughout the United States, such as the addition to the Cincinnati Airport for Delta Airlines in 1993, distribution centers, various projects for the US Army Corps of Engineers, chemical companies, paper mills, the Armed Services, etc. Mr. Parrish has presented seminars on SCC to many groups throughout the country, including ACI, State R/M Concrete Associations, DOT's, the engineering community, and both public & private industry groups.
Mr. Parrish began his own successful business in Mississippi in 2001, but his belief in shrinkage-compensating concrete and the opportunities for a company such as ShrinkageComp Plus to penetrate and expand the market, compelled him to sell his company and re-enter the specialty concrete admixtures market, starting his own company. |

Mr. Valentine has over 35 years experience in the design and construction of concrete structures, primarily in the heavy industrial sector. He is considered an expert in both shrinkage compensating concretes and containment structures, including secondary containment of hazardous materials. His vast amount of experience with building framing, equipment supports, slabs-on-grade (floors and pavement), and miscellaneous structures has lead him to the use of shrinkage compensating concrete as a better way to design and build these structures.
Mr. Valentine has a Bachelor of Civil Engineer and a Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering. The former has enabled him to pursue a career that includes both structural and civil engineering applications pertaining to industrial, institutional, and commercial applications. The latter provided him with the insight and means, using TQM and value engineering methods, to develop economical structures that are more serviceable, durable, sustainable, and environmentally friendly than similar structures constructed with conventional concrete. The key construction material that provides these benefits, plus others, is the use of shrinkage compensating concrete. He has published several articles and made numerous technical presentations on his developmental work in using shrinkage compensating concrete to reduce, minimize, or eliminate many of the problems inherent in concrete design and construction. |
