XCELSET





Product Description:

XCELSET is a specially prepared, non-chloride, rapid setting, rapid strength gaining hydraulic cement.


Dosage:

Normally used 100% as the cementing medium, but may also be blended with other cementituous materials.


Advantages:

Excellent for repair and patching mortars, as well as pre-cast concrete, where setting, strength, shrinkage, and durability are important. The mortar or concrete produced using XCELSET has little or no shrinkage.


Other Admixtures:

Any ASTM C-494 admixtures may be used along with XCELSET. The use of a second generation superplasticizer, such as IAI's SUPERPLAST-1000, will extend the setting of 20-30 minutes to 45-60 minutes at a high plasticity.



Packaging:

XCELSET is packaged 25 pounds per bag, 55 gallon drums (500 pounds per drum) or one ton super-sack.


Caution:

Like all cements, it is caustic and care should be taken in handling and storing. When in contact with skin, irritation may occur.








SUPERPLAST-1000





Product Description:

SUPERPLAST-1000 is a copolymer second-generation superplasticizer, high-range water reducer, meeting ASTM C-494, Type A and F. SUPERPLAST-1000 is excellent for slab and paving concrete, or general use concrete.


Dosage:

SUPERPLAST-1000 may be used from 7 to 25 ounces per 100 pounds of cementituous material (Portland Cement and Pozzolan, if used).


Advantages:

SUPERPLAST-1000 will allow the concrete to be kept in a highly plastic state, 8-10 inch slump, with little or no bleeding or segregation. Concrete can be made highly impermeable and durable with lower shrinkage and creep. SUPERPLAST-1000 is added at the batch plant for purposes of quality control.


Other Admixtures:

SUPERPLAST-1000 does not need to be used with any other water-reducing admixture. If used with an air-entraining agent, a high quality neutralized vinsol resin, such as IAI's AEVR is recommended.


Packaging:

SUPERPLAST-1000 is available in 55 gallon (208 litre) drums or in bulk.


Caution:

If SUPERPLAST-1000 freezes, thaw at room temperature and reconstitute by mild agitation. There are no special precautions to be taken when handling SUPERPLAST-1000. If it should come into contact with the eyes, flush thoroughly with water.
