b  Projects current underway to be feature here in the near future. Patching Mortars and Non-shrink Grouts expand to mechanically lock repair patches into the original concrete. The expansive action of the repair material places the repair joint interface under compression further enhancing the bond between the two materials. Precast members benefit from Shrinkage-Compensating concrete made with CompCon in several ways. Dimensional quality control can be assured since SCC can compensate for and counteract the shrinkage that occurs during curing. Product durability is increased due to higher abrasion resistance, lower permeability, a denser concrete, and the elimination of shrinkage cracking. Pre-cast concrete produced using CompCon also reduces production cost by increasing quality control and the resulting lowering of reworks and rejects. Any ASTM C-494 admixtures may be used along with CompCon. The use of a second generation superplasticize will extend the setting time from 20-30 minutes to 45-60 minutes at a high plasticity. CompCon is packaged in bags, plastic pails, super-sacks and is also available in bulk. Like all cements, CompCon is caustic and care should be taken in handling and storing.
